Indigenous Peoples

In honor and acknowledgement of Treaty 7 territory, including the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Nations: Kainai, Piikani, and Siksika, as well as the Tsuu T’ina Nation, and the Stoney Nakoda First Nation. As well, I acknowledge the territory of the Mètis Nation of Alberta, Region 3 within the historical Northwest Mètis Homeland.

I appreciate and respect the many First Nations, Mètis and Inuit peoples whose footsteps marked these lands for generations.

Since 2020, I have been a contract provider for NIHB (Non-Insured Health Benefits). I am honored to be an NIHB provider and for all of the indigenous people who have trusted me and shared their stories with me.

As a white male, I am aware of the privilege that is given to me and the responsibility I have to understand, support, and protect the rights, culture, history, and traditions of indigenous peoples.
